I had grand parents from Beeville and 3 grandson's all 13 year old boys today. We started fishing the drops for trout and managed a couple of keepers and lots of hardheads, I don't know why but sometimes we can go for a week with out catching one and then they are everywhere, but they help make a slow day go by faster. A school of jack crevalle moved by us and we pulled up anchor and chased them, we managed to hook 2 at the same time, but one broke off in seconds, the other one we had on for probably 30 minutes before he broke us off. We looked around but could not find them, I was hoping to let each boy get hooked up on one. We moved to the flats and picked up some small red fish. We moved to a different area and tried drifting a couple of long drifts to no avail. We worked our way back into the flats and found some nice keeper reds. This was one of the days I want to fishing to be great to make sure the boys have a great time. Thanks folks for a great day on the water.

I had the pleasure of fishing a couple from Beeville and a guy and his son today. Trout fishing was slow but we managed to box a few and thankfully the reds were more cooperative. We worked the drops from the flats all the way to the shallow water. We tried anchoring up, drifting, just about everything. It was a great day to spend with good people. Thanks folks and look forward to doing it again.

Fishing a friend from Rockport and his brother from Houston today, We had a great time and caught quite a few small fish, but the keepers were few and far between for us. We worked the drops, drifted the flats, and anchored up and fish pot holes. Overall it was great fun and thanks for a great day and look forward to doing it again soon.

I fished a guy and his son from Three Rivers and a guy and his son from Portland today. These guys are good fisherman, but I just couldn't get them on a solid bite. We covered lots of ground and managed several undersized fish, but the keepers were evading us. Thanks guys for a great day on the water and look forward to having you back again soon.

I had the pleasure of fishing a dad from Luling and his grown son from Austin today, they are great guys. We worked areas that had been producing fish for weeks, but only got small (udersized) fish. They were troopers and we stayed at it and finally managed a nice flounder and red. The son lost a nice red just out of the dip net range, he just spit the hook. I would have not believed he could have after the fight he put up, but he did it. And to top that off he just laid in the grass looking at us knowing we couldn't reach him. Guys thanks for a great day on the water and look forward to seeing you back again.

I had the pleasure of fishing a guy from the Dallas area today and we had a tough time but managed to get his limit of trout and a few sand trout, a nice gafftop, and a nice red fish. We started out fishing the drops and guts going into the flats and he caught a couple of nice trout and his red, but the bite died on us We moved to deeper water reefs and structure and picked up lots of little fish and a keeper or two here and there, but most were good solid fish. We came back and worked the flats for reds, but only picked up more trout. Thanks for a great day on the water and look forward to doing it again.

I got to fish a group of guys from the San Antonio area today and we managed to get some nice solid trout and a redfish. We started off fishing the drop off at the flats, but could not get a good bite going, most of the fish were undersized. We headed to the deeper water reefs and found some nice solid trout and had a nice black tip on for a while before he bite the line into. We came back and drifted the flats and picked up a nice redfish and some undersized trout. Thanks guys for a great morning on the water and look forward to doing it again.

I fished a group of guys in the API Tournment in the Upper Laguna Madre, I have seen tough days but this was one for the record books. We started out fishing before daylight in a area that has always produced fish for me. We caught a couple of trout just 1/8'' under 15 1/4'' ( I don't like keeping fish under 15 1/4 inches, because they will shrink on ice during the day) so I let them go, and got a 19'' red. This was the first 10 minutes of fishing and the bite shut off totally. We worked until 1 pm with out getting a keeper. We did manage to get a few small keeper trout.
Thanks guys for hanging in there and keep on trying. When we found some fish the wind came up and we had to get out of there. Thanks for a great day, though not as productive as I would have liked, and look forward to having you back again.

Thanks for a great day on the water and look forward to having you back again.
